Carla Lawrence is a Registered Dietitian since 2007. Her career began at Khayelitsha District Hospital where she was part of commissioning nutritional services at the facility. She then moved to Tygerberg Hospital where she worked within the clinical and food services areas.

Both hospitals enabled her to not only develop and hone her dietetic experience but also develop project management, time management and leadership skills. Her clinical experience includes diabetes, hypertension, weight loss, obesity, heart disease, and the management of stroke patients. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition Security.

Her approach to dietary management is wholistic with the aim of assisting clients to reach their personal goals that fit into their lifestyles, are realistic, achievable, and are based on updated scientifically based information.
